Would you like to make a fresh start? Learn how to start fresh. Most of us have tried to start fresh many times. The problem is that while our intentions are good we often fall back into the same habits, actions and patterns.
How to Start Fresh in Life
No matter how stuck you may have become, you can move forward with God’s help. Watch this short movie and see how.
Here’s how you can make a fresh start to change your life for the better:
1. Know What You Really Want
Often we think we know what we want out of life and unfortunately for many, it revolves around being comfortable and debt-free. But is that all you really want in life? What about knowing that you have a purpose in life and that you are sure of your final destiny? What about finding inner peace and knowing that all you have done wrong is forgiven? You can make a fresh start and know the answer to these questions today.
2. Forget About Perfection
There are times when we just try too hard to get it right in our quest for acceptance. Many feel that in order to get God’s acceptance they have to be good and do good. The Bible paints a different picture. It says that God’s acceptance is a gift; you don’t have to earn it.
In Romans 3:24 we read, “by the free gift of God’s grace all are put right with him through Christ Jesus.” As Romans 4:25 says, “God gave Jesus to die for our sins, and he raised him to life, so that we would be made acceptable to God.”
This truth releases you and me from having to obey a set of rules or feeling that we have to be ‘good’ to get God’s love and acceptance.
You can experience God’s love and acceptance and receive his free gift today!
3. Leave the Past Behind
How do we create a fresh start from wrong actions and thoughts?
Jesus died on the Cross to take your punishment for all the wrong you have ever done.
When you ask God to forgive you, he removes all guilt and shame as 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he will forgive our sins, because we can trust God to do what is right. He will cleanse us from all the wrong we have done.” You can make a new start today and have everything you have ever done forgiven!
How to Start Fresh – Tom Made a Fresh Start
When my dad left my mother I felt life had dealt me a bad hand. I was fifteen when I started drinking on a regular basis as well as smoking marijuana and LSD.
By the time I was eighteen years old I was a fully-fledged addict. Heroin became my friend for the next fifteen years – in and out of jail, living a life of violence and crime, it was all just part of my life. Hatred and anger seemed to be my companion.
Then I heard how Jesus died for all the wrong I had ever done and that I could make a fresh start. That day, my life was changed with one touch from Jesus. Freedom entered my life and miracles started to happen. My $200 a day heroin addiction disappeared on the spot.
How do you deal with regret? Tom was able to deal with his regrets by making a fresh start. Most of us have regrets and have tried to make a fresh start. We have tried to be a better person. But as we have learnt from the Bible it is not about trying to be a better person but rather receiving as a gift, what Jesus has done for you. Your life could change today! Watch the movie to see how.
