Poem on How to Overcome Fear by Wilma Watson

I pondered on what I could see
Was my mind playing tricks on me?

Was the thought of losing all
Creating fears to make me fall

Into a trap of deep despair
Feeling life was just not fair?

I wanted to be in control
To show the world that I was bold

But the fear of failure and of loss
Showed me clearly who was boss

Then my God said to me
Take my hand and you will see

How I can bring things back to norm
Calm the waters and still the storm

There is nothing you need to fear
For you’re my child so very dear

I’ll help you to see it through
In whatever you try to do

Trust me and my powerful hand
To guide you to the Promised Land

So I took His hand and His advice
Oh, it was so very nice

The fear factory was closed down
It drove the fear right out of town

A Quote on How to Overcome Fear

“So don’t worry, because I am with you. Don’t be afraid, because I am your God. I will make you strong and will help you: I will support you with my right hand and save you.” Creator God – From the Bible, Isaiah chapter 41 verse 10

We all like to convey a sense of control. When that is taken away from us it can produce anxiety and fear.

Could it be that the deep desire to stay in control is behind most fears? The fear of ghosts, fear of death, fear of commitment, fear of intimacy, fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of flying or any other fear!

When you put your hand in the hand of God Almighty, the One who created all things, you know that there is one greater than you in control of your situation.

Watch this video called ‘Living Free’ and discover how much God the creator of the universe loves you. You can overcome fear today!
